Lent is a 40-day season of repentance and renewal (plus six Sunday feast days), which is intended to mirror the time Jesus spent in the wilderness.
In 2023, we are spending the Lenten season focusing on repentance. Repentance is the life change that is necessary for us to be fit to receive the kingdom of God. John the Baptist challenges the Pharisees who have come see him: "Bear fruit in keeping with repentance!"
Our sermons during the Lenten season will be centered around the lectionary readings provided in the Book of Common Prayer (ACNA 2019).
